Tomorrow's meeting

We have a very important meeting at work tomorrow. The meeting concerns the application for a new grant for our service, and we need to ask fellow academics for their support. I hope it will turn out okay, otherwise I will be out of a job by mid November when the current grant runs out this year. I guess I am not worried about being unemployed, but we do have a good plan for the next grant and I would like to be a part of it as there will be many new stuff to learn and implement.

I have to dress up for tomorrow's meeting. I usually go to work wearing my jeans and tops, but whenever we have a meeting, I tend to dress up a bit. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but this time I have to find a pair of flat sole shoes to wear as my foot still hurts a bit. I managed to dig out a pair of dusty shoes I haven't wore for at least a year. It took me some time to clean it and shoe shine it. I thought my foot was getting better last Friday, but the pain returns yesterday and today. Maybe I went back to my normal walking speed too quickly. I guess I just have to walk slowly again until my foot is fully recovered.
