I'm supposed to be going out this weekend, but after what happened on Thursday, I've decided to stay home just to calm my Mum a bit. So during the weekend, I made some food. Below are photos of the food I made. I've also included a photo of the Japanese Cheesecake I made a while ago.

I would like to thank all the relatives and friends who contacted us yesterday and today to find out if we were okay through endless of phonecalls, sms text messages, emails, MSN & ICQ messages. Thank you very much for all your concerns.

Yesterday was a terrible day for each of us (the Londoners) to go through. The atrocities have affected all of us in some ways, even though most of us were not directly involved. All the explosions happened in familiar places of London, in particular the Piccadilly line because I do travel on that part of the line on my way to work. Most of us have expected something like this to occur sooner or later, but that doesn't mean we were prepared to absorb the initial shock followed by frantically finding out if our friends and families were okay.

London went back to normality today. Apart from a few stations remaining closed and a reduced service on some underground lines, everything appeared to be back to normal. I couldn't get home last night so I stayed at Sarah's (my boss) place. I took the bus home this morning. On my way home, I've noticed the streets were more quiet than the usual buzzing atmosphere. I don't mean less people, there were still lots of people on the streets, but people in general remained more quiet than usual. There was a TV news report this morning on the emptiness of some tube stations, the reporter mentioned that this could be due to people heeded the advice from the metropolitan police to stay home or they were just scared of commuting on the underground. I'm sure it was because most people were following the advice from the police. I'm certain that London will be back to normal next Monday morning when we all return to work. I'm sure after this tragic event, all of us will treasure life more and there is nothing more important than life itself.
